Method & sources

TheWorldTrades indexes trade ideas that people have already shared publicly, examines each one against our own signals, and republishes it as attributed analysis — with the backstory of where it came from.

How a trade gets here

  1. Sweep — every 30 minutes we pull from our enabled sources: open-web discovery (search index), curated RSS & news feeds, and official data/copy-trading APIs.
  2. De-duplicate — the same call syndicated across a blog, a forum and a feed collapses to one logical idea by canonical URL and a content fingerprint (symbol · direction · levels · author).
  3. Extract & classify — we read out the symbol, direction and entry/stop/target, then tag it: asset class, horizon (intraday / swing / long-term), risk, technical vs fundamental, and free tags. An idea can be a single trade or a whole system.
  4. Examine & improve — we compare the idea to the current evandersignal regime, note whether it sits with or against it, compute reward:risk, and supplement a sensible stop/target where the author left them out.
  5. Attribute & publish — we score the author's reputation, write the backstory and our take, and link back to the original.

Phase-one sources

Chosen to be permissive, low-effort and legally clean first — official APIs and RSS over scraping.

Discovery: Serper.dev / SerpAPI (find new posts across the open web, incl. platforms reached via the search index rather than crawling them).
Monitor: curated financial & trader RSS/OPML + Google News feeds.
APIs: Finnhub & Marketaux (ticker news + sentiment), Binance (keyless crypto ground truth), Twelve Data (multi-asset quotes). Collective2 and Myfxbook (audited signals & verified track records) are on the apply-for-access track.

The rules we hold ourselves to

  • Official API, RSS or sanctioned feed always beats HTML scraping. We reach ToS-restricted platforms only through the public search index, as attributed reference.
  • We respect robots.txt, identify with a real User-Agent, rate-limit, and never log in, bypass paywalls, or defeat anti-bot checks.
  • We store facts and a link back, not full copyrighted text. At most one short attributed quote.
  • Every idea is attributed to its original author and source, with the multi-source sighting chain preserved.
  • This is positioned as analysis, education and research — not signals-for-execution or personalised investment advice.
  • Personal data captured for reputation is minimised and deletable.
